Flower Care

In order to keep your flowers lasting the longest possible time ensure that you change water  often. How often? It depends on the type of flower, some soft stems have a tendency to make the mater murky faster than other, hard stem flowers. We recommend changing water every couple of days to get the optimum life out of your flowers. Trimming the stems at an angle will ensure that your flowers keep drinking water through the largest surface area of the stem.

Remove fading blooms and foliage. Some flowers last longer than others. To keep your entire arrangement looking fresh, simply pluck fading flowers off the stem. If your arrangement is in a basket or a box, please keep the floral foam saturated.

Keep your arrangement in a cool place and out of direct sunlight. Keep away from heating or cooling vents, fans, and radiators. Do not place your flowers in the fridge at home, or office. Florists’ coolers are not as cold as household refrigerators which will kill your precious blooms.

Do not place your flowers near fruit. The ethylene gas produced by fruit will cause your flowers to age much faster. This is one of the reasons why flowers purchased from fruit shops, supermarkets and service stations do not last long.
